I just went on a class field trip to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens as part of the Arbor Vitae curriculum. There’s nothing better than an outdoors class as a way to get to know the herbs empirically. Field trips in general are great no matter what you’re learning or what age you are! There were a ton of schoolchildren in the park too, and I’m sure we had an equal amount of fun (though our program may have been a little more focused in botany identification).

In any case, as the Cherry Blossom season is coming to an end, there is still a ton of attractions to see. There is an awesome interactive section for kids, a wild garden of native plants, and an exhibit of Bonsai trees going on now! Enjoy the (finally warming up) weather and go check it out, all ages welcome!
